Assignment #2: Running Subjects

The purpose of this activity is to give you experience and confidence in collecting experimental data.

This assignment is completed by running three subjects in an experiment. Make contact with a researcher on campus who is running an experiment this quarter.* (The experiment need not pertain to music.) Ask them to supervise you in learning how to run subjects for their experiment. Refer to the document Interacting with Subjects for detailed information regarding issues and procedures.

As proof that you have completed this assignment submit COPIES of three consent forms with your signature as witness. Be sure to blot-out the name of the subject to ensure the participant's anonymity.

DUE DATE: Friday May 12th.



* You may also consider running animal subjects in behavioral experiments, such as those conducted at the OSU Primate Laboratory. Contact Prof. Sarah ("Sally") Boysen.
